About Flutistry

Flutistry is an outgrowth of a flute choir class started by Mandy Moburg in the fall of 2011 in Winona, MN. The class brought together several experienced flutists who decided to make things official, so they became Flutistry. The membership has adjusted over the years based on life’s changes, but the current group still includes three founding members: Janet Heukeshoven, Heidi Bryant, and Arlene Boll. More recently, Lisa Ramsey and Amanda Wenzel have joined the group.

Flutistry has performed for a variety of events over the years, including annual dinners for the United Way and Project Fine. They are also the official musicians for the Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest events and have performed for River Arts Alliance and Winona Symphony Orchestra events along with church services and holiday programs.
